Bible verse: Lamentations 3:22-23 – Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.  They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

You have one life. Think about that. We get so busy, we forget to prioritize what we want our lives to be. In the movie Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle four teenagers get thrown into a video game in which they have 3 lives… and then it is Game Over. There is a great back-and-forth conversation. Dr. Smolder Bravestone: “It’s a lot easier to be brave when you’ve got lives to spare. It’s a lot harder when you only have one life.” Moose Finbar: “We always only have one life, man. That’s how it is.” What are your goals in life? What are your priorities? What do you want to accomplish? My wife and I developed a “Dream Board” which really helped us to visualize a roadmap of our family goals. On the Dream Board, we included pictures of a family of 6, the exact truck that we own now, our dream house, retirement ages, ideal body weights, and a few other items. The key with the Dream Board is to include pictures, so you can visualize your goals. When you visualize where you want to go in the future, it is amazing how you prioritize your life to meet your goals. We created our first dream board 2-3 years ago and it is amazing how many of the items we have already accomplished. Recently, we updated the Dream Board and removed the goals we have already accomplished and added additional goals. Have the Dream Board in a location you will see everyday and update annually.

Daily Guide:

Morning

  • 5:30AM – Wake-up, thank God for this day prior to your feet hitting the ground
  • Max out on push-ups / mountain climbers before leaving your bedroom
  • Read your Bible or listen with audio app

Lunch Break

  • Review your employer’s benefits and saving plans.  Sign-up for any matching plans.
  • Walk/run min of 1KM

Evening

  • Develop Dream Board with your wife
  • Tell your wife that you love her and give her a big kiss on the lips
  • Pray with kids before bed
  • 10PM – Lights out
